We Support New Graduate RNs through Our Nurse Residency Program
At Bon Secours, we know that your first year of nursing practice can be challenging. That’s why we created the Bon Secours Nurse Residency Program. Our 12-month program guides you through your first year as a new to practice nurse, filling the gap between nursing school and real-life practice. This immersive program, with interactive and informative sessions, provides a safe environment to ask questions, network with other new nurses, participate in group discussions and demonstrations, and transition into the next step in your clinical practice. Our team will partner with you to plan diverse career experiences across our health system that meet your goals as a professional nurse.

At the conclusion of the program, you will complete an evidence-based practice project, of your choice, with the opportunity to impact professional nursing practice. Along with participation in residency sessions, you will complete nursing orientation, be validated in appropriate competencies, and participate in skills fairs and classes in your areas of interest, such as critical care courses, certification preparation courses, and leadership courses. We are proud to offer the Nurse Residency Program in Baltimore, MD, Greenville, SC, Richmond, VA, Portsmouth, VA, Norfolk, VA, Newport News, VA, and Ashland, KY.
