Bon Secours St. Francis Health System is now a food donor for Loaves Fishes, a not-for-profit locale to Greenville County. The food donation program began in mid-June, and within the first three weeks, 37 trays of food were donated and redistributed by Loaves Fishes.
The opportunity to minimize food waste and address food insecurity within Greenville was identified by a clinical pharmacist and member of our community health team.

Bon Secours St. Francis offers a new type of immunotherapy for our patients that’s transforming cancer care.
Andrew Honeychuck, Administrative Director of Oncology Services for Bon Secours St. Francis, shares “We’re excited to be able to expand the care options available here in the Upstate for our patients, especially because CAR T-cell therapy has been showing promising results for the future.”
By using genetically engineered versions of a patient’s own immune cells, it enables our clinicians to best support those diagnosed with lymphomas, some leukemias and multiple myeloma.

Project SEARCH is a national program that provides high school aged students with disabilities the opportunity to receive on-the-job training through total workplace immersion in the hospital environment.
Since its debut in 2017, 90% of Greenville’s Project SEARCH interns found employment upon graduation which includes 19 interns hired at Bon Secours St. Francis.
Interns even have a state-of-the-art learning facility in the Joseph J. Pazdan Project SEARCH Center – a world-class, interactive classroom learning environment. It includes space for classroom instruction as well as training rooms, designed to reflect patient care areas, where interns can practice their skillsets.

The Women of St. Francis, part of the Bon Secours St. Francis Foundation, was formed in 2007 to empower women as health care decision-makers.
