Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
The Senior Software Engineer & Salesforce Developer develops, designs, and configures technologies that improve patient access, digital marketing, digital access strategies, consumer outreach, and personalization using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, DMP (Data Management Platform), CRM (Customer Relationship Management), Heroku, etc. They act as a technical expert in multiple areas as they help transform patient experiences that are measurable and scalable through sophisticated technology that is user centric. They support mobile app and web portal integration and development building.
Essential Job Functions
Manages technical responsibility for critical areas of functionality in Digital Access and Marketing product releases.
Uses practiced judgment to determine what methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to employ.
Works closely as a leader in an Agile environment with engineers on cross-functional teams including Digital Access and Digital Marketing Automation Product Owners to support efforts for enhancement and leveraging of Salesforce (e.g., Customer 360, personalization capabilities, Marketing Cloud).
Builds strong relationships with I&T engineering, clinical partners, and third-party vendors to solve complicated issues across multiple platforms and interdependent technical environments.
Develops custom and out-of-the-box solutions using Salesforce Health Cloud and Marketing Cloud functionality (APEX, SOQL, Lightning Components, Heroku, Enlyt, etc.).
Participates in complete development process from requirement analysis to deployment; provides technical documents for reference/maintenance.
Collaborates with team for code review, unit testing, and quality assurance.
Supports post-deployment activities including knowledge transfer, process documentation, and application bug fixes.
Builds software with a proactive operations mindset to simplify alerting and debugging of customer issues.
Designs and documents systems by writing code spanning vast expanses of the software engineering ecosystem and turning them into best practices as a full-stack engineer (e.g., microservice based environments, distributed systems, big data patterns, systems engineering software, networks, operating systems, cloud, machine learning concepts, algorithms).
Guides stakeholders to understand solutions well enough to identify issues which would prevent the solution from being viable with patients, consumers, clinical/operational staff, or other stakeholders whose domains are impacted by the solution.
Uses deep working knowledge of marketing cloud and leverages marketing cloud and DMP (formerly Krux) to enable hyper-personalization through digital channels, including email communications, mobile apps, and website.
Supports regular maintenance and enhancement requests, including but not limited to: Patient/Practice appointment reminder concerns and communications, journey issues, Structured Query Language (SQL) development, and troubleshooting automations/integrations.
Performs defect investigation, resolution, and regression testing for mobile application features associated with code merges and environment syncs.
Configures and integrates mobile app data into Marketing Cloud, Heroku, and Enlyt to support consumerization and personalization roadmap.

Salesforce Integration Architecture Designer (preferred)

Identity Access Management Designer (preferred)
Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Programming, or Computer Software (required)
5-6 years of Salesforce experience and relevant industry experience shipping high traffic software and end-to-end consumer experiences (required)
8-9 years of Salesforce experience and relevant industry experience shipping high traffic software and end-to-end consumer experiences (preferred)
1-2 years of healthcare and/or Epic experience (preferred)
System design and documentation
Software development, design, and configuration
Technical maintenance of mobile application
Communication with stakeholders
Salesforce (Health Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Heroku, DMP, CRM)
