Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
The Master Data Manager is responsible for the facilitation and implementation of data change as well as the governance related processes. They drive the data quality, integrity, and management that runs the business with accurate and core business information and intelligence. The Master Data Manager understands the business and technology needs to drive and prioritize data improvement initiatives while also building data to help drive best-in-class data management activities, customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and operational productivity. They understand the Master Data Management (MDM) lifecycle process and governance. The Master Data Manager is an advisory role to the business team on future process models. They work with clinical operations teams regarding customization, integration, and implementation of Master Data Management (MDM).
Essential Job Functions
Structures master data processes in relation to provider and location data to provide thorough subject matter expertise related to master data management.
Works with system owners and sites to establish global data governance rules for provider and location master data.
Designs and finalizes the master data elements to be captured globally in master data objects.
Works with system owners and sites to provide guidance and define globally standard nomenclature for equipment and subsystems.
Provides technical and training support for the Master Data Management (MDM)system to all relevant stakeholders across the organization.
Aligns resources and involvement from relevant teams (medical group, clinical operations & I&T) to ensure teams understand the use cases for master data to govern and maintain their respective elements of master data.
Serves as a digital data steward for master data elements leveraged through the digital front door, including mobile apps, web portals, online scheduling, and more.
Recommends actions and contributes to master data strategy based on industry-leading best practices.
Leads teams in the automation and streamlining of existing procedures and processes to optimize quality and performance.
Develops, implements, and reports on key master data governance and quality measures KPI’s including service level agreements.
Develops new business cases and recommends investments to support Master Data Management MDM efforts (i.e. tool selection and ensure internal controls compliance for master data).
Manages large projects in a professional and active manner, improving the quality and mitigating project risks while partnering with Clinical Operations, IT, Digital Marketing team and local Process Owners on aspects of global and local data governance and shares information cross-functionally to improve workflow processes.
Develops and leverages partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to meet business needs.
3-5 years' experience performing tasks relating to data cleanliness (required)
4-7 years' experience in IT project management (preferred)
4-7 years' of digital experience (preferred)
